Our Team

Kenneth Smeds, MA, CCC, SLP, Co-owner of the Center for Speech and Language, T.C., LLC (CSLTC, LLC) graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders in 1997.

He brings to the Center many years of experience with both children and adults. His career began in the California school system where he evaluated and treated school aged children with speech and language disorders.

He moved to Florida in 1999 and was employed as a speech language pathologist with Rehab Works in Jacksonville. In 1999 he went into private practice for himself and opened First Coast Speech and Language. In 2001 he moved to south Florida and joined the practice of CSLTC, LLC.

Since that time he has been providing excellent speech, language and swallow services to clients of all ages in a wide variety of settings; including home based, hospital based and office based therapy.

He is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association, ACE award and The Florida Speech Language and Hearing Association where he has served as a member of the Ethics Committee. He has also been a member of the Advisory Councils for many local Home Health Agencies and has provided workshops and in-services for private schools, Assisted Living Facilities, Parkinson’s Disease and Stroke Support groups and Home Health Agencies.

Kenneth is certified in Neuro Muscular Electric Stimulation Therapy as well as the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment Program. He is also competent in providing therapy to laryngectomized patients.

He is a competent, enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist as well as an active member of the community.

Patricia Smeds, MA, CCC, SLP, Co-owner of the Center for Speech and Language, T.C., LLC (CSLTC, LLC) graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders in 1980.

She brings to the Center many years of experience with both children and adults. Her career began in the California school system where she had classrooms for severely language disordered children as well as the emotionally disturbed. She was selected as a Mentor Teacher and her Intervention Program Classroom became a model for the state.

She moved to Florida in 1989 and opened CSLTC Inc. in 1990. Since that time she has been providing excellent speech, language and swallow services to clients of all ages in a wide variety of settings; including home based, hospital based and office based therapy.

Patricia has now retired and is no longer seeing patients. However she continues to provide consulting and advisory services to CSLTC. 

Angel Proctor is the Office Manager at Center for Speech and Language T.C., LLC, where she plays a key role in keeping daily operations organized and running smoothly. She is often one of the first points of contact for clients, helping create a positive and welcoming experience from the start.
 
 
In 2017, Angel earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She brings over 10 years of customer service experience across multiple industries, along with 5 years of management and human resources expertise.
 
 
In her role, Angel manages patient scheduling, processing referrals, and maintaining communication with Home Health Agencies to ensure coordinated and efficient care. She takes pride in her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and her ability to build meaningful connections with both clients and partners.
